    About our parish

We are located in historic downtown Winchester just off Interstate 64 only 18 miles east of Lexington.  Just a short distance from Fort Boonesboro and Natural Bridge. Whether you are visiting or looking for a permanent church home come and celebrate with us.

Our parish has been part of the community in Winchester, KY since 1872. Our current church building was constructed in1910. We currently have 194 families. With our members aged newborns to 90somethings and everywhere in between, you will feel welcome in church.

Sincce 1919 when the Sisters of Divine Providence saw a need for a Catholic school in our community we have been blessed to have Saint  Agatha Academy, which provides education opportunities for pre-k through 8th grade as part of our campus. Their website can be reached at https://www.saintagathaacademy.org/

Our pastor Father James Kinney, our staff and especially our congregation, welcomes anyone who wants to worship with us. Never been in a Catholic Church before? It’s ok, listen and follow along.  If you find yourself drawn to join us, check out our bulletin for contact information.  No matter who you are or what your situation is, we would like to say Welcome, we have been praying for you.
